INFO#Title : Rosenboom Card Games.
Author : Perry Rosenboom.
Country : Australia.#Source : See Shareware column.#Conditions : Shareware - $20 Aust,
$30 NZ,
10 UK, $20 USA,! $20 Canada, DM 20,00 Germany.$ The above prices are for the full$ set of at least six games. Single# games are half the above prices.
Category : Games.& The two games reviewed here, Tut's&Tomb and Classic Solitaire, are part&of a set of at least six card games&being produced by Perry Rosenboom.&Others promised include Cruel, Golf,&Tri-Peaks and Cleopatra. I haven't&given the full set a mark as I haven't&seen them all and going by the docs&there's still some to be written yet&but the two here are both well&programmed and the presentation is&good and I assume the rest will be up
to these standards.& Things common to both programs are&the general appearance of the games,&the way they play and some of the&various options available. For&instance the pictures on the back of&the cards change with the start of&each new game, which is a nice touch.&In the registered version these are&selectable by the player and there's
apparently thirteen in all.& Both games use a deck for selecting&cards from. You have an option of&turning over one card at a time or&three though only registered users get&the three cards option. This is a pity&as I think the three card choice would&be the most enjoyable way to play both&games and users may be put off them by only having the one card option.& The games are controlled with the&click of a mouse button and it's all&very intuitive. Missing from both&though is any in-game rules. They're&in the docs but a few screens about&how to play the games would not have
gone amiss.& Price wise, a set of six for the&price of two is good value, assuming&the games are good to start with. See&also the column on games in this issue&as there's some stiff competition in&the card games stake at the moment.
And now on with the reviews.
Title : Tut's Tomb v1.00.#Conditions : Shareware - $10 Aust,
Display : NTSC.& How much or otherwise you'll enjoy&a card game on a computer will depend&on how well you like the card game&it's based on. This one I have to&admit I don't like too much. You have&to match two cards so their values add&up to thirteen. And that's it. The&game starts out as a pyramid of 28&cards with only the bottom row of&seven exposed enough for you to match&up. The rest of the deck is available&for flipping over should you get
stuck.& This game may be a bit more&interesting with the three card option&available in the shareware version but&with one card only it seems a bit too&hard as the deck can only be gone&through once. For those who like&adding up to thirteen though I guess
there's many happy hours here.

Title : Classic Solitaire v1.01.#Conditions : Shareware - $10 Aust,
Display : NTSC.& Classic Solitaire it offers and&Classic Solitaire it is. Apart from&the three card option being disabled&in the shareware version this is as&you would expect from the most widely
played version of solitaire.& Along with the options mentioned in&the introduction you also have&different styles of mouse pointers for&when moving the cards about. This is&once again a feature disabled in the&shareware version with only an outline
of the cards used.& This is good version of the classic&game and you'll never need to worry&about their being only 51 in the pack.&And I know this ones full as I've
